Langass Woodland Digital Trail

‘Walking Within – Langass Woods’ is an interdisciplinary project which combines outdoor learning and the arts with new technologies. It is encouraging children and young people to make a valuable contribution to the care and future of their own natural environment.  WK have been busy making a digital trail which has been populated by pupils’ photographs, poems, sound recordings and research, giving visitors an even richer experience of this community owned woodland.  We are also creating a website for Langass which is viewable here.  In a TESS article Sarah McIntyre, cultural access officer for Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum and Arts Centre said “One of the lovely things about this is that the pupils are able to see what they’ve been working on. There’s a tangible outcome, and hopefully soon they will be testing out the trail and the guide they have designed. It’s really exciting for us to be using new technology like this.”
