Organisations
Whether you are a visitor attraction, recording group or a geo-cacher, WildKnowledge’s applications allow you to provide information or collate data on your group's particular area of interest.
For example, imagine the following four tasks and how they might currently be undertaken:
- Identifying specimens or objects ~ paper based key or guide;
- Undertaking a tour of an attraction ~ a paper map or audio tour;
- Undertaking a survey ~ clipboard collation and manual input;
- Providing information on specimens ~ interpretation panels.
In contrast someone using WildKnowledge can:
- Access an ID key & identify/record sightings (WildKey);
- Open trails providing multimedia interest points (WildMap);
- Create their own surveys and collate their own data (WildForm);
- Access interactive images about an object (WildImage).
Because the information is mobile, users can gather and create information anytime, anywhere. What’s more you don’t have to create all the content yourself as this is can be shared in the WildKnowledge community!
